As a South West based wedding photographer, I had the absolute joy of capturing Cloe and Alex’s elegant and intimate wedding at Chippenham Registry Office and The Dumb Post Inn. From start to finish, their day was filled with heartfelt emotion, timeless style, and a quiet kind of magic that made it feel truly special.
One of my favourite moments of the entire day was Cloe’s emotional first look with her dad. It was such a genuine and moving exchange; no words needed, just that beautiful connection between father and daughter that says everything. It set the tone for the rest of the day: authentic, full of love, and deeply personal.
After a lovely ceremony, we stepped outside to the prettiest light filtering through the trees, perfect for some natural, editorial-style portraits. Cloe and Alex were joined by their two gorgeous dogs (and when I say big dogs, I mean big!). They completely stole the show, trotting around proudly in their wedding accessories and soaking up every moment. Including them made the day feel even more personal; a true reflection of Cloe and Alex’s life together.
The celebrations continued at The Dumb Post Inn, a stunning countryside venue with the most beautiful views over the Wiltshire hills. As golden hour approached, we decided to take a short drive to a nearby field with the dogs and honestly, it was completely and utterly surreal. The light was soft and golden, the sky glowing pink, and for a few moments it felt like we’d stepped straight into a movie. Cloe’s dress caught the light beautifully, the dogs ran happily through the grass, and the whole scene felt effortless, cinematic, and full of joy.
It was one of those moments where everything just aligned.
Cloe and Alex’s day was a reminder that weddings don’t have to be big to be breathtaking. With thoughtful details, genuine emotion, and a focus on what truly matters, their celebration was everything a wedding should be; timeless, romantic, and full of heart.
